Bandhani is an ancient tie & dye craft of India. In the past Kutchi bandhani practiced by only Muslim Khatri Communities in Kutch. Fabric is tied with finger tips using very fine thread which creats very small ties. Tying this ties is certain way creats superb designs, which then emmersed with dye. The result creats magnificent design with millions of ties (dots). Also this tie crafts is mainly precticed by women, which also provides them income for their personal savings.

Shehnaz got this Bandhani (Tie & Dye) art from her Father. She is a second generation of her family doing this art Bandhani. She knows about bandhani since she was only five years old, this means this art is gifted by generation to generation. When she completed her study she decided to join her father in Bandhani business, so she involved in Bandhani field in the year of 2004. Now she is serving her Bandhani to the world since 2004.
We started our own business as Shehnaz Crafts after our marriage in 2010 at Bhuj city the heart of Kutch with support of families and relatives.
